How to check:
- Take your best winners of the year, for example the top 10% by R.
- For each, find the very next trade.
- Compare those follow-up trades with your average: win rate, minutes between the winner closing and the next entry, and the quality grade you'd give them on review.
A simple countermeasure to test: after any trade of 2R or more, write one line about what was done right, and wait for the next M15 bar to close before looking for a new entry. Nothing clever, it just puts a gap between the emotion and the next decision.
Has anyone measured what happens after their winners? I suspect it's just as common as tilt after losses.
