Two demand stories, one weekend:

1. 18 Pro at $1,199 / $1,299 (+$100 vs last Pro) — US preorder looks orderly, not a frenzy. Chip/price + “wait for Duo” are the boring explanations.
2. Duo at $1,999 — US cart not open yet; some Asia carrier allotments already gone. Japan/local FX pricing lag we already flagged still sits in the yen conversation, not in an M1 signal.

Into a week where CPI was sticky and oil is >$100, Apple’s sticker is anecdote for “goods still have price power.” It is not CPI. It is not a gold long.
