Hi traders, scalpers etc.
What are your tricks, to control your emotions and avoid overtrading once you are scalping forex markets?
What works for me:
1) Scale account just from profit. Once i have there only deposited money by me, i trade smaller positions, less risky.
2) Another advantage of risking mainly profit is that i have feel less stress.

Preserve your own money. Scale with the market's money. Exponential growth is the ultimate key.

Overtrading for me is almost always **revenge size or boredom size**, not “too many good setups.”
Hard rules that stuck:
- Max trades per session written before the open
- After 2 losses: stop or half-size only (no “one more to recover”)
- If I feel the urge to click, I force a 3-minute timer — most urges die
Journal tag I use: `FOMO` / `revenge` / `plan` — if FOMO > plan for a week, size goes down, not strategy hunting.
What’s your personal circuit breaker — daily loss $, or trade count?
Anyone actually enforced a cool-down timer, or does it always get skipped mid-session?
