I took a similar approach on a US tech stock after a hard drop last year and I learned a few things the hard way. A forex scalping setup relies on tight spreads and continuous prices, and a stock that has just sold off gaps, halts and drifts differently, so my usual stop distances were far too tight for the first week. I ended up widening them and cutting my size to about a third of what I used on currency pairs.

Scaling in at several levels like you did, from 64.80 down to 59.98, is something I did too, and it felt safe until the stock kept sliding another few dollars. What helped me was deciding before the first entry where the whole idea was wrong, so the last position had a stop that would cap the total loss at a number I could live with. Without that line I would have just kept averaging.

Please do post updates, including the entry and exit prices, since a log like that is far more useful than a verdict. I would also note how earnings dates affect the plan.

Hi,

good to hear that :-)

And did you bought around current low 52-53$ from yestarday?

If the fall down will continue i plan to buy lightly under 50$ and improve my cost average :-)
