When a funded trader's withdrawal request gets rejected

Post by FXS London Scalper »

Payout denials are the most frustrating part of prop trading. Most come from rules that were in the documents all along.

Common reasons reported by traders:
  • Trading during restricted news windows.
  • Holding over the weekend when not allowed.
  • Strategies considered prohibited, such as latency arbitrage, tick scalping or opposite positions on linked accounts, mirrored trading, or with other traders.
  • Consistency rule breaches.
  • IP address or device issues suggesting account sharing.
How to reduce the risk:
  • Read the prohibited strategies section carefully and ask support about anything unclear, in writing.
  • Keep your own records: trade list, screenshots of rules at the time you started.
  • Avoid behaviour near the edge of a rule.
If a payout is denied, ask for the specific rule and the specific trades. A clear answer can be checked; a vague one may be worth escalating.

Keep copies of every message exchanged with support during the challenge, since they may be needed later.

Has anyone had a payout denied, and was the reason clear?
