One-click trading removes the confirmation window and sends the order the moment the button is pressed. For scalpers it saves a second or two, and that second matters. It also removes the last chance to catch an error.
The common mistakes are predictable. A wrong size left over from the previous trade. A buy instead of a sell, because the buttons sit close together. A double click that opens two positions.
Reducing the risk takes a few habits. Always check the size field before the first trade of the session. Use hotkeys with distinct keys for buy and sell, so there is less visual confusion. Keep the default size small, so a mistake costs less.
Some platforms let users set a maximum lot size for one-click orders. That setting is worth using, since a typo of 10 instead of 1 is exactly the kind of error it blocks.
Also helpful is a visible color or label that shows when one-click mode is active, so it is never a surprise.
Has an accidental click ever cost real money, and what safeguard came out of it?
