On gold and silver, stop losses often fill worse than entries. Measuring the difference on your own account is straightforward and tells you how much to budget.
Method:
A worked example of using the result: if stop slippage averages $0.20 and the stop is $3, each loss is about 1.07R. With 45% losers, that's 0.03R per trade off expectancy, which matters for a thin edge.
Silver often behaves worse than gold on this measure because liquidity is thinner. Your data will tell.

Method:
- Export deal history for a few months.
- For market entries, compare fill with the requested price.
- For stops, compare fill with the stop level.
- Report averages and the worst 5%, separately for news minutes and normal minutes.
