A day ends with plus 3 percent. The mood is good. But the trades included one oversized position, two entries taken outside the rules and a stop that was moved.
The result was profit. The process was a failure. And the process is what repeats tomorrow.
Traders who judge days only by outcome reinforce bad behaviour whenever luck covers it. A lucky win teaches the brain that breaking rules is fine. Eventually the same behaviour meets an unlucky day and the damage arrives all at once.
A better scoring method gives each day two grades: one for result, one for process. A green day with a red process grade deserves a note and a specific correction. A red day with a green process grade deserves no panic at all.
Over a month, process grades often predict future results far better than profit and loss does.
How is process tracked here, separately from profit and loss, or are they mixed together?
