Four stops. The fifth setup appears, textbook, and the cursor hovers over the button for six seconds. Price moves 4 pips. Now the entry looks late, so it gets skipped. Then it runs another 8.
Hesitation feels like caution, but it's usually a different mistake. The rules approved the setup, then the last four results vetoed it, and those results have nothing to do with the fifth trade. Each scalp is a fresh draw.
Some people shrink size until the click costs almost nothing, so the hand moves anyway. Others place a limit order at the level in advance, so there's no moment of decision at all.
Skipping isn't free either. A valid setup that got passed is a result that never reaches the log, and it quietly corrupts the stats the whole plan leans on.
After a streak, do you take the next one at half size, skip it, or take it at full size, and which of those has cost you the least?
