First week after the UK clock change: did my London open stats shift?

Post by FXS London Scalper »

The UK went back to GMT last Sunday, and the US doesn't change until 1 November. So this week London opens five hours ahead of New York instead of the usual four, while the European open itself hasn't moved relative to London.

I wanted to see if this week usually looks different for my EURUSD open scalps, so I pulled the same week from my 2023, 2024 and 2025 logs.
  • Trade count was normal. The London morning doesn't care much about New York's clock.
  • The 13:30 London US data came an hour "later" relative to New York's open, which meant less overlap with the cash equity open. Reactions to data looked a bit cleaner to me, but that's three weeks of data, so I don't trust it.
  • The thing that actually bit me in 2024 was my own platform: server time shifted, so a session filter started an hour off. That's an execution issue, not a market one.
So my conclusion is the market barely notices this week, but your tools might. Did anyone see real differences in the morning session during the mismatch weeks?
