A few brokers put out monthly figures on how their orders are filled: average speed, percentage of positive slippage, and so on. Mine sends a quarterly report. I compared it with my own log.
Broker's report: average execution 32 ms, 18% positive slippage, 64% no slippage, 18% negative.
My log for the same quarter, my orders only: average 45 ms from my VPS, 11% positive, 70% no slippage, 19% negative.
So my numbers were a bit worse than the averages. The difference likely comes from my timing: I trade the London open and news, which are the hardest moments. The broker's averages include quiet hours.
The report is useful as a sanity check, but it's no replacement for logging your own orders.
