Hit the profit target, then coast? Does your style change after a pass?

Something I noticed in myself and in a few friends doing challenges: once the profit target is reached, but before the minimum trading days are complete, trading changes. Some people stop completely and place one micro trade a day. Others keep trading normally. A few start taking random punts because "it doesn't matter now".

Each approach has a cost.
  • Coasting with micro trades is the safest for the challenge itself, but you lose several days of real practice right before the funded account, which is exactly when you need your normal rhythm.
  • Trading normally keeps the habit, but one bad day can push you close to the daily loss limit after you've already passed the hard part.
  • Random punts are the worst of both. You build a habit you will bring to funded.
What I did on my last pass: normal setups, half size, max two trades a day until the minimum days were done. It kept me in the routine while capping the damage.

Firms differ, so read your own rules. Some require a minimum trade size or activity per day, and some count consistency across all days.

Did your trading change after you hit the target? I'm interested in what people did in the first funded week too.
