Logging ping, spread and result on every scalp automatically

Post by FXS London Scalper »

Manual journaling misses things. You might note the setup and result, but not the ping at entry or the spread at the moment of the click. Those are exactly the details that explain bad fills later.

A small MT5 script or EA can log, for every trade:
- Timestamp (server and local).
- Symbol and direction.
- Spread at order send (ask minus bid).
- Ping to the trade server (TerminalInfoInteger with TERMINAL_PING_LAST).
- Requested price vs fill price.
- Time from send to fill in milliseconds.
- Result in pips and currency when closed.

Write each row to a CSV in the MQL5/Files folder. Once a week, open it in a spreadsheet.

What tends to come out after a month:
- Trades taken when spread was above normal underperform clearly.
- High-ping moments cluster at certain times (often when the home network is busy or Windows is updating).
- Fill time differences between brokers become measurable.

If anyone wants to share a basic logging script, please post it in code tags with comments. A community version would be useful.
