After three losers: a mandatory break protocol

Post by FXS London Scalper »

Three losses in a row is a common trigger for a break. Here's one way to structure it.

Protocol:
1. Close the platform (not just the chart).
2. Stand up, leave the desk.
3. Minimum 20 minutes away.
4. Before returning, review the three trades: were they on plan?
5. If all three were on plan: return, trade at normal size.
6. If one or more broke rules: return at half size for the rest of the session, or stop.
7. If a fourth loss follows: session over.

Why three?
- With a 55% win rate, three losses in a row happen about 9% of the time. Not rare, but enough to warrant a check.
- It's early enough to prevent a tilt spiral.

The break isn't punishment. It's a reset.

Some traders use two losses as the trigger, others four. The number matters less than having one and following it.
