Week one live is where people collect scars that look like “strategy failure.” Often it is platform unfamiliarity plus uncapped risk plus surprise costs. The checklist is there to survive the plumbing before you judge the edge.
My first-live-week checklist:
- Costs: log every scalp’s spread + commission in R from day one — no “I will add costs later.”
- Platform: practise flatten, partial, and bracket on demo, then mirror live with tiny size only.
- Risk caps: daily loss and max clicks written before Monday open — non-negotiable for seven days even if the first two days are green.
What would you add to a first-live-week checklist for someone graduating from demo this month?
I also ban strategy changes in week one. Survive the platform and the cost log first. Redesigning entries while learning hotkeys is how people collect confusing scars.
