I skip it when: Asia already trended rather than ranged, London opens through the extreme with pace, a UK or EU print sits inside my hold window, or EUR and GBP are both being driven by a broader dollar impulse so the cross is residual. I also skip when I watched Asia for hours and feel owed a trade — that emotional tell is reliable and unhelpful.
Skip rule beats clever fade. If the morning offers a clean ORB or sweep-reclaim instead, I take the better story; I do not force the fade costume because it was on yesterday’s plan.
Writing the skip reason in one line keeps me honest at review time.
