Journaling losers more carefully than winners

Post by LondonScalper »

Journaling losers more carefully than winners.

Winners get a short confirmation note. Losers get a structured post-mortem: plan vs execution, was the loss a good process loss or a breach, screenshot, and one rule keep/change. Time-box fifteen minutes so it does not become rumination.

Why the asymmetry: my ego already studies winners. The account bleeds on repeated loser types I never named. Good process losses get a "keep" stamp so I do not "fix" what is working.

Winners that broke rules get the loser treatment -- green does not equal good.

How deep do you go on losses without turning Sunday into a punishment session?

Cap loser reviews at a fixed number per Sunday (I use three deep dives). Endless autopsy is another avoidance pattern. Depth on a few beats shallow shame on everything. Then stop -- go outside.

I am interested in how others on this desk handle the same problem without turning it into folklore. Concrete rules and log fields beat slogans. If you have a version of "Journaling losers more carefully than winners" that survived contact with live sessions, what does the rule look like on a sticky note -- and what did you try that failed?
