Physical environment: standing desk, second monitor, no phone -- what actually mattered.

I tried gadgets. The changes that stuck were boring: phone in another room during the open; second monitor for calendar + journal only (not more M1 charts); standing for the first ninety minutes so I do not melt into revenge scrolling.

What did not matter
RGB keyboards, exotic chairs, four charts of the same pair. Clutter raises click noise.

What did
Removing the phone cut FOMO and "quick checks" that became tickets. Calendar on the side monitor made blackouts visible. Standing made session end more natural -- when my feet complain, I am often past my best decisions.

Environment is part of risk management for discretionary traders. Treat it like a checklist item, not lifestyle content.

Lighting and posture sound soft until you notice how many bad tickets happen when you are sunk in a chair at 11:40 hunting boredom. Treat the room like part of the platform. If the environment invites scrolling, it will get scrolling -- and scrolling finds orders.
