EURUSD liquidity voids left by stops -- how I mark them.

After a stop-run through a clear London level, the tape sometimes gaps through a thin zone then balances. I mark that void on the chart as context: fades inside it are lower quality; continuation through it can be fast. This is discretionary map-making, not a scientific order-book claim.

Mark the origin level, the sweep extreme, and where pace cooled. Journal whether my next ticket respected the void or pretended it was normal range. Over time I take fewer mid-void scalps.

Retail does not see the full book. The mark is a reminder that "empty" air on the chart often trades differently -- wider spreads, worse partials.

How do you mark post-sweep space on EUR, if at all?

Voids also inform where not to place working orders that will get noisy fills. If I need to be in, I wait for the far side of the void or a fresh balance. Mid-air limit hunting inside a fresh sweep zone has been poor business for me on EUR.

Practical rule on EURUSD from this desk: voids upgrade caution, not creativity. I wait for balance or a reclaim at the far side before discretionary fades. Soft order-flow tells can support the read; hard rules still own size and invalidation.

If the void prints into a news window, it is observation only. Thin books plus event risk is how stops become stories.

I also avoid placing targets in the middle of a freshly printed void. If I am continuing, I want objectives beyond it; if I am fading, I want evidence the void has filled or balanced first.

Do you leave void marks on the chart for the full session, or wipe them after the first reclaim so the screen stays clean?
