Deciding how you'll handle a bad week before it happens

How do you define the end of a bad week's consequences? If the plan says trade half size next week, what if the next week is also bad? I'd have a second level, like a quarter size or a pause for a few days, and a clear condition for returning to normal, like a week of following rules without breaking any. Without an exit condition, reduced size can drag on and make recovery feel impossible. The plan should cover both how to step down and how to step back up.
