How I keep a journal without it taking more time than trading

Post by FXS London Scalper »

My journal used to take an hour a day. I gave up twice. Now it takes about 15 minutes, and I've kept it for over a year.

What I changed:
  • The platform exports trades automatically to a CSV. I don't type prices or times.
  • At entry I record only the setup tag and quality grade, two clicks.
  • At exit, one line on the exit reason.
  • Screenshots only for A trades and rule breaks.
  • Weekly review on Friday, 30 minutes, with a fixed template.
The key was separating data collection, which should be automatic, from reflection, which needs time but not every day.

What's your journaling setup? How long does it take you?
