Nike experienced sharp downward pressure today, breaking below the $38 threshold. As a direct result, all open scalp entries from this setup are currently sitting in the red.

While short-term drawdowns are never ideal on screen, this outcome fits within expected variance given our current phase:

Strategy Calibration: These trades were executed as part of an active testing framework designed to evaluate timing, entry triggers, and reaction levels under live market volatility.

Risk & Exposure: Capital allocation remains controlled and proportional to a testing phase, ensuring that temporary adverse price action does not compromise account health.

Core Thesis: The fundamental appeal and durable moat of the Nike brand remain fully intact. Macro headwinds and technical flushes do not undermine the underlying brand equity, global footprint, or long-term turnaround potential.

Action Plan: Let the test parameters play out according to defined stop-loss and invalidation rules rather than reacting emotionally to intraday noise. Document execution metrics and slippage for post-trade review.

I will share some printscreens tomorow and keep you updated.
Take a care.
And have a great trades.

Interesting experiment — just be clear you’re changing market microstructure, not just the ticker.

FX majors (esp. EURUSD/GBPUSD in London) are continuous, deep, and priced in a way that 1–3 pip scalps can make sense. US single-name equities / CFDs are a different animal: auction open, wider effective spreads around news, borrow/financing on CFDs, and overnight gap risk if you hold. “Scalping technique” transfers only where liquidity and cost structure allow it.

For a test sleeve that small, fine — treat it as research, not a second scalp book. I’d log all-in cost per round-turn vs average M-target the same way you would on a minor FX pair you’re demoting. If Nike CFDs eat half the intended scalp in spread+slip, the technique isn’t failing; the venue is wrong for that hold time.

Are you day-flattening the CFDs, or is this more of a hybrid hold? That choice dominates risk here more than the entry pattern.

Worth checking the calendar before letting these run. Nike's fiscal Q1 report normally comes out around the end of September, and single names can gap well past any stop you'd set on an FX scalp. If the setup is meant to be a scalp, I'd flatten the CFDs before the release and keep only the 1.02 shares through it, because the share can sit through a gap without a margin call or overnight financing.

The other thing I'd log is how long each entry has been open. Positions that have been red for two sessions aren't scalps any more; they've quietly become a swing test, which is a different experiment with different stop logic. A hard time stop, flat by the US close whatever the P&L, would keep the test measuring what the thread title says it measures.

Hi traders,

you are right. I call it scalping, but in that core of that trading strategy it is not exactly scalping, because i have found out, that most of that positions i have to
hold over longer period of time, thanks to continues in down trend.
But i will keep you updated how that experiment goes. So stay tuned.

Have a lot of good trades.
