Overlap news UK plus US data same hour: flat or micro size only

UK and US data in the same hour: flat or micro size only.

Double prints in the London--NY overlap are where I used to get clever with hedges that were not hedges. Two calendars, one account, and a brain that wants to be in for both.

Default
If two tier-1 (or one tier-1 and one pair-relevant medium) land inside the same sixty minutes, I flat and stay flat through both. Micro size is allowed only as a pre-written experiment with a tiny R -- not as a loophole.

The cost of missing a clean post-data move is smaller than the cost of a crossed wire during the second release while still managing the first.

How do you handle stacked UK/US hours -- full blackout, or staggered re-entry rules?

Stacked data also wrecks journal attribution -- which print caused the move? If you traded through both, Sunday stories get fictional. Flat through the stack keeps the review honest and the account quieter. Re-entry after both, with fresh checklist, is still optional.

Most UK releases come out at 07:00 London, a few at 09:30, while US data sits at 13:30, so a strictly same-hour UK/US clash is fairly rare. The stack that does catch people is a Bank of England decision at 12:00 followed by US data at 13:30. It's not the same hour, but it's close enough that the GBP reaction to the BoE is still going on when the US number hits.

On those days I treat 11:45 to about 14:00 as one block for anything with GBP or USD in it. Re-entry after that is a new session with its own checklist, same as you describe.
