Hi traders, scalpers,
i would like to write my thoughts about forex scalping trading strategy and if it is really good trading style to start with for newbie traders.
For me its clear, i love scalping, because it suits to my personality for like 97 percent. (just my estimation based on my own point of view)
But i got idea to ask myself, is this really good for new traders? Or it is just for professional old dinosaurs traders?
I found out, that may be it is really good trading strategy to start with, even if you are new. Why?
Because thanks to fast pace and lot of trades which you will make you will make lot of mistakes as well and blow several of your accounts, but it is natural
part of progress, because i think that fastest way to learn new stuff properly is by doing it and you will not learn from your wins, but from your losses.
I got it, its not easy trading style, but on another hand is the fastest way to learn it and understand forex spot market from its bases.
What do you think? Do you agree with my main point?
Is forex scalping good for new traders?

Preserve your own money. Scale with the market's money. Exponential growth is the ultimate key.

Re: Is forex scalping good for new traders?
Scalping can work for newer traders if the curriculum is risk + execution first, not signal hunting.
Without a hard daily stop, spread awareness, and a tiny playbook, scalping just accelerates mistakes. With those, it’s a laboratory with fast feedback — still dangerous, but clearer.
If someone’s new: would you start them on M5 location + few trades/day, or keep them off sub-minute entirely for a while?

Good for some beginners, expensive for most
Scalping can teach execution, session structure, and cost awareness fast. It can also teach account destruction fast if you start on M1 without spreads, news discipline, and daily loss limits.
If I were advising a new trader from a full-time Frankfurt seat:
One more filter for newcomers: if your plan requires more than two hours of continuous screen intensity on day one, shrink the session before you shrink the stop. Endurance is a skill. Blowing the daily limit while “learning” is tuition you do not need.
What is your intended session and pair — and have you measured average spread in that window yet?

- Learn one pair’s costs and one session first — European morning is enough work.
- Use hard daily stops from day one, written before the first live click.
- Ignore “secret indicator” threads until you can state entry and invalidation in one sentence each.
- Use demo for platform mechanics; judge real costs on live micro size.
