Resetting after I break my own loss limit

Twenty years on a desk and I still occasionally click through my own daily line. The edge is not pretending it never happens — it is having a boring, rehearsed reset so the next hour does not become a second account.

My rule is mechanical:

• Flatten everything. No “one more to get flat emotionally.”
• Close the platform for a timed ninety minutes. Walk, tea, anything offline.
• Write three lines only: what the limit was, which click broke it, what cue I ignored.
• Next session size is half until I log two clean process days.

I do not raise the limit mid-week to “make room.” That is how soft breaches become hard ones on prop, and how personal capital bleeds quietly. The reset is about restoring decision quality, not revenge maths. If the break happened on gold, gold stays parked the next day even at half size — product-specific consequences stick better than vague promises.
