Key cAlgo Advantages Here:

NetProfit Property: Notice t.NetProfit handles swap and commission inherently. We don't have to manually sum OrderProfit() + OrderSwap() + OrderCommission() like in MT4.

Timer Execution: OnTimer() guarantees the dashboard updates exactly once a second, even during dead market hours or when tracking low-liquidity pairs where ticks stall.

Encapsulation: The UI elements are strictly objects on the chart layout (Chart.AddControl), meaning when you remove the indicator, the panel vanishes cleanly without needing explicit object destruction code on de-initialization.

To make the tool genuinely institutional-grade, we need to upgrade it from a passive visual alert to a proactive execution gatekeeper.

In professional proprietary setups, an indicator sitting on a chart isn't enough—traders ignore blinking text under emotional pressure. True risk engines enforce hard permission at the code level: they intercept and reject execution requests, lock out specific instruments after consecutive losses, and log behavioral micro-triggers.

Here is an institutional-grade cBot version for cTrader that acts as an automated risk firewall. It doesn't just display a HUD; it actively blocks order execution and manages open risk when thresholds are breached.

Institutional cBot: OvertradingFirewall.cs

Save this as a cBot in cTrader Automate rather than an indicator. It intercepts execution attempts, enforces a cooling-off timeout after consecutive losses, and tracks psychological micro-triggers.

Key Pro-Grade Upgrades In This Build

1.) Behavioral Circuit Breaker (Consecutive Loss Cooldown): Professional desks know that variance clusters. If a trader takes $N$ losses in a row, the probability of emotional degradation spikes. This script enforces an automatic mandatory time-out window (CooldownMinutes) immediately after a streak, locking out execution regardless of account balance.

2.) Execution Interception (ValidateExecution): Unlike a dumb visual indicator, this cBot exposes a structural check that can intercept trade routing. If your platform permits algorithmic hookups, it drops incoming signals the second structural parameters are breached.

3.) Session Fatigue Metrics: Separates raw ticket count from drawdown velocity, acknowledging that taking 3 planned trades in a clean regime is completely different from firing 3 revenge tickets inside a 5-minute choppy retracement.

Agreed on both. Revenge size ends the account in an afternoon; green-day extras end the edge over a quiet month while the curve still looks fine.

Different breaches, same hard response. Revenge size: session ends immediately — no “one more at normal size.” Green-regime extras: a concrete throttle — ticket cap freezes at the pre-session plan once I am ahead of the daily soft target. Later A+ setups are observations only; they get no risk. That stops green P&L rewriting the plan.

Daily ticket and loss caps are written before the open. Hitting either, or upsizing after a loser, triggers the same walk-away. No mid-session pair shopping to “use” the mood.

Rule: ahead of soft target = freeze tickets; revenge size = end session. Do you freeze the moment you clear the soft target, or only after a second emotional add?

Emotion control for me is mechanical: ticket cap, soft stop, no revenge size. Willpower alone fails after a slipped fill.

Prop rules are a gift when they force the walk-away.

Which mechanical brake do you trust more than “I will stay calm”?

I also log refused tickets so flat time counts as work — otherwise the desk invents activity.

Funded trailing DD is the external referee that keeps the desk honest.

Boring survival beats a clever recovery that spends the week’s DD band.

Topic note from my sheet for t=16: keep risk unchanged until the sample says otherwise.

strategy.risk.max_intraday_loss is a nice find; a lot of people write their own daily-loss logic in Pine without knowing it's built in.

The $500 default is a fixed cash amount, so it means something very different on a $2,000 account than on $50,000. The function also accepts strategy.percent_of_equity as the type, which keeps the limit proportional as the account grows or shrinks. With the opener's approach of scaling from profit, you could go further and set the daily limit as a share of accumulated profit, so on days when you're mostly trading your own deposit the tolerance is automatically tighter.

Three trades a day is strict for a scalper. PTScalper mentions 80 to 200 positions a day in another thread, so clearly one number doesn't fit everyone, but as a learning setting it forces the selectivity the thread is about.

One thing to be clear about for anyone copying this: it only controls the backtest and any automation driven by the script. It won't stop a manual click in the broker platform. For real overtrading control, carry the same numbers over to the platform side, for example a broker-level daily loss limit where offered, or at least an alert that fires when the third trade is taken.
