Fair experiment — just don’t expect the FX playbook to port 1:1.PTScalper wrote:i know i know, that csg is stock and not forex, but im trying right now to use there forex scalping trading strategy.
Cash equities (and single-name names like CSG) have different microstructure: auction open/close effects, lunch liquidity holes, borrow/short constraints, and a spread regime that isn’t the same as EURUSD in London cash. A forex “scalp” edge that lives on tight, continuous quoting can become expensive noise when the stock book thins.
If I were translating the approach:
- Trade only the liquid window (regular session, avoid first/last minutes until you know the name)
- Measure all-in cost in cents, not “pips”
- Cut size vs FX — gap and print risk is less forgiving
Are you using the same hold-time targets as on FX, or did you widen them for the stock’s tempo?
