Post by PTScalper »

Hi traders,

I found out, that best way how to relax for me is just random walk in nature full of random staff :-))

Same church. A proper walk with no podcast and no “just checking the phone” is still the cheapest risk-management tool I own.

After a high-ticket London morning I want something that resets the nervous system, not another screen. Trees do that; scrolling does not. The photos look like a proper reset — unstructured, no itinerary, which is the point.

One desk rule that stuck: no platform open on the walk. If I need to flatten, I do it before I leave the chair. Half-relaxing while babysitting a runner is how you bring the session home with you.

Coffee after, not during, for me — otherwise I just rehearse the last loser. Curious whether you treat the walk as a hard end-of-session boundary, or do you sometimes come back for the NY open?

Nature walk as a hard session close

Random walk in nature is a solid off-switch. I use something similar after Frankfurt hours: leave the screens, move the body, let the last M1 argument dissolve before dinner. The point is not aesthetics; it is preventing the “quick look” that becomes three revenge tickets.

Rule I protect: once I say session closed, the phone app is for margin and nothing else. If I catch myself refreshing charts on a park bench, the walk failed and I treat it like a process breach in the journal.

Coffee and quiet help too. What matters is removing one-click access while adrenaline is still half on. Prop days especially — eligibility survives better when evenings are boring.

If weather or schedule blocks a walk, I still force a non-chart substitute: gym, errands, or a book with the phone in another room. The product is distance from the order ticket.

Do you start the walk immediately after flatten, or do you still do a long post-session chart autopsy that keeps you hooked?
