Alice in Wonderland, reimagined for the trader who ventures too deep into the indicator matrix.

Chapter I: The Flashing Alert
Alice was a profitable, high-volume scalper. For years, she had relied on naked price action, watching the raw XAG/USD 1-minute chart on cTrader and trusting the pure rhythm of the order block. But one lazy afternoon during a flat Tokyo session, she grew bored of the empty charts.

Suddenly, a custom TradingView alert flashed across her screen. It was the White Rabbit—a newly published, open-source Pine Script indicator promising a "100% non-repainting, AI-optimized entry signal." The script hurried across her screen, painting a bright green arrow.

"Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall miss the breakout!" the alert seemed to say.

Intrigued by the promise of automated perfection, Alice clicked the source code and tumbled headfirst down the rabbit hole, falling past thousands of lines of convoluted code, nested moving averages, and obscure stochastic oscillators.

Chapter II: The Leverage Conundrum
She landed in a dark hall lined with locked API keys. On a glass table sat a bottle labeled MAX LEVERAGE. Alice took a sip, and immediately her position size grew so massive that her margin level plummeted to 10%—she was too large to fit through the door of sensible risk management.

Panicking, she found a small cake labeled MICRO-LOTS. She took a bite and shrank so drastically that her account was safe, but her profits were entirely eaten alive by the broker's minimum commission fees. She was trapped in the paradox of position sizing.

Chapter III: The Fibonacci Caterpillar
Wandering into the digital forest, she met a large blue Caterpillar resting on top of a massive Ichimoku Cloud, calmly smoking a hookah filled with retail hopium.

"Who... are... you?" the Caterpillar asked in a slow, lagging drawl.

"I-I hardly know, sir," Alice replied. "I was a price-action trader this morning, but I've changed my settings so many times since then."

The Caterpillar blew a ring of smoke that morphed into a Golden Ratio. He advised her that the secret to the market lay in the Fibonacci retracement mushroom upon which he sat. "One side makes your timeframe longer," he said, "and the other side makes your timeframe shorter."

Alice took a bite of the 0.618 level, only to find herself trapped in a fractal loop of 5-second tick charts, analyzing market noise that didn't actually exist.

Chapter IV: The Cheshire Spread
Lost, Alice looked up into the branches of a candlestick tree and saw the Cheshire Cat.

"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to trade from here?" Alice asked.
"That depends a good deal on where the liquidity is," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where—" said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you trade," said the Cat. "The market makers will stop you out either way."

With that, the Cheshire Cat began to vanish, slowly fading away until nothing was left but his wide, grinning smile—which Alice realized, with horror, was actually a violently widening spread right before a tier-1 news release.

Chapter V: The Mad Hatter’s Curve-Fitting Party
Alice fled the spread and stumbled upon a tea party. The Mad Hatter, the March Hare, and the Dormouse were frantically adjusting the parameters of a MetaTrader Expert Advisor.

They were trapped in a perpetual ranging market. The clock on their server was permanently stuck at the New York open, but the volatility never arrived.

"Change the moving average! Shift to the 200 EMA!" cried the Hatter, as they all physically moved to different chairs around the table. But no matter what variables they optimized, the backtest results remained exactly the same: a slow, agonizing bleed of equity. They were hopelessly curve-fitting historical data, trying to predict a future that would never match the past.

Chapter VI: The Queen of Margin
Suddenly, the market environment shifted violently. The Queen of Hearts arrived—she was the Broker's Automated Risk Management Protocol, ruling the order book with an iron fist.

Retail traders were frantically painting the red candles green, trying to pretend their underwater positions were actually profitable. When the Queen saw the floating drawdown, her face turned red.

"Off with their heads!" she screamed. "Liquidate their accounts!"

Margin calls fell like executioners' axes. The trial began. Alice was called to the stand and accused of entering a silver trade before the MACD line had fully crossed the signal line on the 4-hour chart.

The evidence presented was a chaotic mess: Bollinger Bands squeezing, RSI diverging, and parabolic SAR dots flying everywhere. The chart was so cluttered with indicators that the actual price of the asset was no longer visible.

Chapter VII: The Awakening
The Queen demanded Alice's equity. The executioner raised the liquidation alert.

Suddenly, Alice's 18 years of market intuition kicked in. She looked at the chaotic mess of lines, colors, and lagging math.

"Who cares about your lagging signals?" Alice shouted, suddenly feeling her confidence return. "You're nothing but a pack of variables! You only tell me what price has already done, never what it is going to do!"

With a swift keystroke, she highlighted the entire indicator folder. She hit Delete.

The Ichimoku clouds evaporated. The moving averages snapped. The rabbit hole collapsed.

Alice woke up with a start. She was sitting at her own workstation, her high-performance tower humming quietly. The chart on her screen was clean, sharp, and naked. Just price, time, and volume. She smiled, purged the database cache of the useless scripts, and patiently waited for the next raw breakout.
