Is a no-swap account ever worth it for intraday-only trading?

Swap-free accounts are offered mainly for religious reasons, and some traders consider them for scalping. If you never hold past rollover, swap is irrelevant anyway, so the question is what the account costs instead.
Common ways brokers recover the missing swap:
A worked example: a scalper doing 400 round turns of 1 lot a month, with 0.1 pip wider spreads on the swap-free version, pays $400 extra per month while saving nothing on swap if every trade closes intraday.
So for most scalpers the answer is no, unless there's a personal reason for the account. Also, many brokers expect the account to be used for its stated purpose.
Anyone compared both versions at the same broker?
Common ways brokers recover the missing swap:
- Wider spreads on the swap-free version of the same account.
- A flat admin charge for each night held, once some free nights are used up.
- Restrictions on which instruments are available.
- Eligibility rules, sometimes requiring a declaration.
