Monitor layouts for scalpers: less is usually more

A wall of screens looks serious, but more information is not always better. Scalping depends on fast, clear decisions, and cluttered layouts add friction.

A useful exercise is writing down which pieces of information actually influence entries and exits. Typically it is a short list: price chart, spread, a higher timeframe reference, maybe a news calendar, and an order panel.

Everything else is a candidate for removal. Extra indicators and secondary charts rarely change a decision but divide attention.

Placement matters as well. The main chart and order panel should sit in the center of the visual field, with the spread displayed prominently. Secondary items belong at the edges, reachable with a glance.

Keeping the layout fixed also helps. Moving things around every week disrupts the pattern recognition that comes with seeing the same arrangement repeatedly.

One more suggestion: screenshot the layout when it works well, so it can be restored after a platform update wipes it.

What does the ideal layout look like, and what was removed that turned out not to matter?
