Indicators that repaint, and the lag they add to every decision

Some indicators look wonderful on historical charts and behave differently live. The reason is repainting, where past values change as new data arrives.
Zigzag, many fractal tools and some trend-line scripts redraw their signals. A swing high identified now might not have existed at the time, and looking back, the entry appears perfectly timed. Live, the signal arrives late or vanishes.
For scalpers, the damage is larger. Decisions happen in seconds, so a lagging or repainting signal results in entries after the move is over.
A quick test is to watch the indicator in real time for an hour and take screenshots at intervals, then compare them with the same period afterwards. Differences reveal repainting.
Non-repainting alternatives use only closed data, which makes them lag a bit but keeps them honest.
It's also worth checking for indicators that depend on future bars in their calculation, which can slip into purchased tools.
Which indicators have you caught repainting?
