Platform freezes during news and the chart clutter behind them

Platforms tend to hang at the worst moment. When a release hits, tick volume spikes, and every open chart, indicator and script competes for processing.
Many setups run a dozen charts with several indicators each. During normal hours, the computer copes. During bursts, it can fall behind by seconds, and the screen shows prices that are already history.
The fix isn't a fancier machine. It's trimming. Close charts that aren't in use. Remove indicators that don't change decisions. Keep one clean window for execution and move analysis to another instance, ideally on a different computer.
Custom indicators that recalculate the whole history on every tick are a classic culprit. A badly written one can drag an otherwise fast terminal to a crawl.
A simple test is to watch CPU usage during a major release. If it jumps toward the maximum, the setup is too heavy.
Reducing load is the cheapest speed upgrade there is.
Many experienced scalpers also keep a bare-bones profile for execution, with one chart, no custom indicators and a single order window, and switch to it before any scheduled event. It takes ten seconds to load and removes a whole category of failure.
