Asia session costs on AUDUSD: how to log spreads by hour

Are the Sydney and Tokyo hours on AUDUSD as expensive as people think? A month of spread logging answers it for your account.
Method: a small MT5 service recording spread every 10 seconds, averaged by hour in Prague or London time. Exclude RBA decision days (the release comes in the Asian morning) and Australian data releases, and look at them separately.
What to compare:
The catch is range rather than cost. An Asian session on AUDUSD often gives a much smaller total range than London on EURUSD, so the same cost is a bigger share of each move. A worked example: an all-in cost of 0.9 pips on a 20 pip session range is 4.5%; the same on a 50 pip London range is under 2%.

What to compare:
- Late evening around the US close and rollover, which is typically the worst hour on any pair.
- The first hours after rollover.
- The middle of the Asian session, when Sydney and Tokyo are both open.
