The last twenty minutes of a session are where discipline leaks

The plan said to stop at noon. At 11:40, a setup shows up, and it looks fine. At 11:55, one more. At 12:10, a position is still open and the session is officially over.

Session ends are dangerous for a few reasons. Mental energy is lower. The urge to make up for a slow morning kicks in. And a sense of "last chance" creates pressure that isn't there at 9am.

Some scalpers find that their worst trades are clustered at the edges of the session: the first few minutes, when impatience is high, and the last twenty, when fatigue and regret mix.

A look at the trade log by minute of the session often shows this clearly. The middle of the session holds the cleanest trades, and the ends hold the clutter.

The fix can be as blunt as a hard stop for new entries twenty minutes before the planned finish, with only management of open trades allowed after that point.

Another fix is to end the session after a particular achievement or a particular number of trades, instead of a clock time, so that the end doesn't carry a deadline panic.

Where in the session are the worst trades clustered, according to the log?
