Mobile order entry is where careless trades happen

Phone apps are convenient, and that's exactly the problem. A thumb on a small screen, a lot size field that is easy to bump, a chart that scrolls under the finger while an order is being placed.

Common slips include the wrong volume, the wrong pair from a list of similar names, and a stop dragged to the wrong level. Apps also behave differently from the desktop platform. Some lack the confirmation box, and some send orders with different execution settings from the ones configured on the computer.

Notifications add to the problem. A buzz in the pocket during a meal can turn into a rushed decision made with one hand and half the attention.

Using the phone only to watch and to close positions, and leaving entries to the desktop, avoids most of it.
