Freeze level and stop level explained for scalpers

Two broker settings quietly restrict what orders can be placed or changed. The stop level is the minimum distance between the current price and a stop or limit order. The freeze level is the zone around the price where orders cannot be modified or cancelled.

For scalpers working with tight stops, a broker stop level of 5 pips makes a 3 pip stop impossible to place. And during volatility, some brokers increase the stop level temporarily, which shows up as an "invalid stops" error right when the trade matters.

The freeze level hits differently. When a pending order sits within the freeze distance, it cannot be edited, so moving a take profit or cancelling the order is blocked. Traders trying to adjust at the last second get locked out.

Checking the symbol specifications in the platform shows both values for each instrument. They often differ between pairs and between account types from the same broker, and that difference can decide which account suits a given strategy.

Anyone found a broker with genuinely low stop levels on majors and exotics, and did those levels stay stable during news?
