The Thursday cluster of releases and its quiet traps

Thursdays often carry a string of data points from several countries. Jobless claims, central bank decisions, and various regional reports pile up, and the day becomes choppy.

Overlapping events create complicated reactions. A US release can move pairs while a European decision a few minutes later pulls in another direction. Price whipsaws, and the logic of any single signal gets muddied.

The calendar shows these clusters clearly. Marking days with several moderate-impact events helps identify the ones where reading price is harder than usual.

Scalpers with clean strategies often find performance dips on cluster days. Testing results by day of the week and by event density provides evidence on whether the effect is real.

Reducing size or narrowing the trading window on those days is a simple adjustment. The point is not to avoid all news, just to recognise when conditions are less favourable.

Are there specific weekdays where performance consistently dips, and does the calendar explain it?
