day job traders: one fixed window or stay flexible?

People scalping around a job or a study timetable tend to split in two.
One group picks one 60 to 90 minute window, same time daily, nothing outside it. The argument is routine, fewer decisions, and no sneaking a trade during a lecture or a meeting.
The other group stays flexible and trades whenever conditions look best. The argument is that a rigid window might land in a dead hour, and some days the real move happens at 2pm while the trader is stuck in class.
The weak spot in B is phone-peeking. A scalp opened at work with no way to manage it is a gamble with an invisible stop. The weak spot in A is that dead hours happen, and a forced trade in a dull window is its own leak.
There's a hybrid: fixed window, with permission to skip it entirely when the chart is flat. A skipped window counts as a good day, not a wasted one.
Worth separating tired-after-work trading from fresh-before-work trading, too. They aren't quite the same person.
Which camp fits your timetable better, and what happens on the days the window misses the move?
