Using a session volume profile on futures to read spot EURUSD

Spot FX has no central volume, so I've started using a session volume profile on the 6E euro futures as a proxy when trading EURUSD.
How I apply it:
So far the value area high and low have acted as reasonable reaction levels, similar to the Asian range edges, often very close to them. The point of control is less useful.
I'm not sure it adds much beyond the Asian range, but it gives a second opinion. Has anyone used futures volume for spot FX trading in a structured way?
How I apply it:
- I build the profile from the CME session starting at 23:00 London (18:00 New York) to the London open.
- I mark the point of control and the value area high and low, then convert them to spot by subtracting the current basis between futures and spot.
- At the London open, I watch how price reacts at the value area edges.
