Euro futures as a lead indicator for EURUSD

The CME's euro currency futures trade on a regulated exchange with real volume and a visible order book. Spot EURUSD and the futures stay tightly linked by arbitrage, but the futures often reveal activity first, since they run on a centralised system with a consolidated tape.
For scalpers, the futures chart offers something spot lacks: genuine volume. A spike in contracts traded at a level shows real interest, unlike tick counts, which only measure price changes.
Some traders watch futures volume and delta, the difference between buying and selling volume, as a confirmation tool. When spot makes a new high but futures delta stays flat, the move may lack conviction.
Practicalities: the futures contract has expiry dates, so charts need a continuous contract. Data costs money on some platforms. And prices differ slightly from spot because of interest rate differentials.
Is a futures chart part of the toolkit, and what does it add beyond the spot chart?
