Bollinger squeeze on tiny timeframes

The squeeze idea is simple: when the bands contract, volatility is low, and a burst often follows. On daily charts, it gets plenty of attention. On one-minute charts, it needs more care.

At that scale, bands contract and expand constantly. Most contractions lead to nothing, just a few more candles of drifting. A scalper who enters on every squeeze pays spread repeatedly for noise.

A couple of tweaks that tend to help:

1. Require a minimum duration, such as ten or fifteen candles of tight bands, before the squeeze counts.

2. Combine it with session timing. A squeeze before the London open or before a scheduled release has a catalyst. A squeeze at 3pm on a dull day usually doesn't.

3. Wait for the break to close outside the band, not just touch it, to filter out probes.

Even then, direction is a guess. Many squeezes break one way and quickly reverse, so a tight stop and a quick exit are part of the game.

What squeeze rules have survived testing, if any?
