Alerts I actually use and the ones I deleted

I used to have dozens of alerts. Most were noise. Now I have six types, all on the broker platform with push notifications.

The ones I kept:
  • Price crossing the Asian high or low on EURUSD and GBPUSD.
  • Price within 5 pips of the previous day's high or low.
  • Five minutes before each high impact news event in my calendar.
  • Spread above a set level on my main pairs, mostly to catch unusual conditions.
  • Margin level below 500%, which should never happen with my sizing.
  • Daily loss reaching 1.5R, so I know I'm close to my stop for the day.
Deleted: indicator crosses, RSI levels, any alert on pairs I don't trade.

The rule now is that every alert must lead to an action. If I get an alert and don't do anything, I ask whether it should exist.

What alerts do you rely on? Any that saved you from a big mistake?
