Eurozone flash PMIs at 09:00 London: my reaction checklist
Posted: Wed Oct 28, 2026 10:03 pm
The flash PMIs come out in sequence: France at 08:15 London, Germany at 08:30, eurozone at 09:00, then the UK at 09:30. On those mornings EURUSD can change direction several times in the first 90 minutes of London.
What I do:
Is anyone trading the sequence directly? I find it hard to scalp because the windows between releases are short.
What I do:
- I mark the four release times on the chart before the open.
- No new EUR trades in the two minutes before each release.
- I compare the German number with the French one. If both surprise the same way, the move tends to continue into the eurozone figure.
- Services matters more than manufacturing for the euro lately, at least by how the market reacts.
