Overnight funding on short scalps: when it suddenly matters

Scalpers usually ignore swap, since positions close within minutes. But I had a case that made me check.
A trade opened at 21:55 server time, intended for a quick move, but it stayed open past 22:00, the rollover. On Wednesday, which is triple swap at my broker. The swap cost more than the spread.
Not a huge amount, but it surprised me.
Since then my EA closes or doesn't open positions in the 10 minutes before rollover. The spread also widens a lot around then, so it's a bad time for scalping anyway.
Check the rollover time at your broker and which day carries the triple charge. Not every broker uses Wednesday for every instrument.
