The morning routine I dropped and the one I kept

For two years I followed a long morning routine before trading: meditation, news reading, journaling, a full analysis of 8 pairs. It took more than an hour.

This year I cut it down to see what actually mattered. After three months:
  • Reading news for half an hour: no difference in results. It made me more anxious and biased.
  • Full analysis of 8 pairs: I only trade three, so most of it was wasted.
  • A short walk outside before sitting down: kept. My first-hour error count is lower on days I do it.
  • Writing down the day's levels and calendar events: kept. 10 minutes.
Now my routine is 25 minutes. My results are the same or slightly better, and I'm less tired by 10:00.

What's in your routine that you couldn't drop?
