Stick to one pair for ninety days and see what happens

New traders often jump between pairs, chasing whichever one is moving. The problem is that each pair has its own behavior, including typical range, session activity, and reaction to news. Learning those characteristics takes time. I suggest choosing one pair and trading only that for ninety days. During this period, you learn how far it usually moves on a sweep, how it behaves at the London open, what its average spread is, and how it reacts to its key news events. You also collect a consistent data set, which makes journal analysis meaningful. After ninety days, review the results and decide whether to continue or add a second pair. Many traders find that depth of understanding on a single instrument improves their results far more than breadth. It also reduces screen time and decision overload. If you worry about missing opportunities, remind yourself that a single liquid pair produces plenty of setups for a part time trader. Mastery of one market beats shallow familiarity with ten, and it builds the confidence required to execute without hesitation.
