Session allowlists for a silver-only EA

Rather than defining when not to trade (blocklist), define when trading is allowed (allowlist). For a silver EA, this can be clearer.
Example XAGUSD allowlist:
- 08:00–11:00 UK: London open and morning.
- 13:30–16:30 UK: US data and NY open, with news filter.
- Everything else blocked.
Why allowlist?
- Safer by default: new conditions (e.g. new holiday) don't accidentally enable trading.
- Easier to reason about.
- Fits silver, where liquidity is concentrated in a few windows.
Implementation:
- A list of allowed windows in UTC.
- Conversion to server time at runtime.
- Check at each entry decision.
Also consider:
- Different windows for Mondays and Fridays.
- Disabling on US or UK holidays.
Silver's thin liquidity outside main sessions makes the allowlist approach especially useful.
Do you use allowlists or blocklists in your EAs?
