When stress from home shows up as more clicks

It's rarely talked about, but the trade log often shows trouble at home before the trader admits it. Sleep is short, an argument happened at breakfast, a child is sick, and the trade count doubles while the average hold time drops.

Signs to watch for in your own data:

- Trades per session above your normal range.
- More entries in the first five minutes of the open.
- More trades outside your marked levels.
- Win rate holds up but average loss grows.

Some practical approaches:

1. A one-line mood rating before the session, 1 to 5. Under 3 means half size and half trade limit.
2. A fixed trade count cap that doesn't change with how you feel.
3. Permission to skip a session. Missing one London open costs nothing. A bad day can cost a week.
4. Reviewing the log weekly with that mood column next to results. The correlation usually becomes obvious within a month.

Trading is often described as a solitary job, but nobody trades in a vacuum. Do you track anything outside the charts that affects your trading?
