Research digest idea: one paper, one practical takeaway

There's a lot of academic work on FX microstructure, intraday seasonality and order flow. Most of it never reaches retail traders because the papers are long and the conclusions are buried under statistics.

Proposal for a recurring thread format:
  • One paper or study per post.
  • Three lines on what was tested and on which data.
  • One takeaway a scalper could actually check on their own chart.
  • One honest limitation: old data, interbank vs retail feed, futures vs spot, etc.
Example of the kind of thing that fits: studies on the London 4pm fix showing price pressure in the minutes before the fix window and partial reversal afterwards. Takeaway: watch for drift into 16:00 UK and be careful holding through it. Limitation: much of that research predates the changes to how the fix is calculated, so the effect may be weaker now.

The point is not to turn the forum into a journal club, but to bring a bit of evidence into discussions that are often based on one person's last ten trades.

Would people read and contribute to this? If you've come across a paper that changed how you trade, post the title and the one thing you took from it.
